Trish Danieli
Bio
Patricia Danieli was born south of Chicago in Joliet, Ilinois--hometown of the Blues Brothers--on June 8, 1987, and knew she was destined to make music from the first time she heard it. Sitting transfixed by a television performance of a live concert, she realized that her place was on stage bringing joy to people as she was brought to joy by that experience.
And like that performer she wanted to do it all: compose, play, and sing. She immediately began fashioning imaginary instruments out of toys and odds and ends around the house, learning songs and dances from popular television shows, and performing them for house guests and relatives at family get-togethers. She taught herself songs on a tiny keyboard borrowed from her older brother, and begged her parents for the private lessons that millions of other children dread.
Her first instrument, the violin, sustained her for a year, and when her passion and dedication grew with every day, her parents rewarded her with private piano lessons. Trish immediately fell in love with the independence the piano offered for composing and performing complete solo works. It also allowed her to discover and develop her voice. She soon began performing at piano recitals, playing her own compositions and singing at school talent shows, and competing in local piano competitions. She quickly realized that performing music for people was the greatest joy she'd ever had, and she was instantly hooked. Feeling the warmth in the audience's eyes, she felt at home on the stage.
Focusing on the performing arts, she enrolled in classical ballet, performed in her school's musicals, sang in the choir, trained with a private opera coach, joined the drum line, and published her poetry. She filled her familys home daily with the sound of her voice and any instrument within reach the drums, acoustic guitar, violin, mandolin, accordion, and even the banjo.
In 2005 Trish fulfilled her dream of performing at Carnegie Hall, leading her high school concert choir in Mozart's "Vesperae solonnes de confessore." After high school, with dreams beyond what Joliet could fulfill, she headed west, relocating to San Francisco. With the help of roommates and friends Trish recorded her first demo, and in the summer of 2010 she joined the gospel choir at Glide Memorial Methodist church. She is dedicated to making music and singing every day until the powerful, jazzy, bluesy message of her musical soul resonates in concert halls and sound systems all over the world.
